“New Orleans Police S.O.D. Task Force Units Booked 18 Alleged Felons”
The New Orleans Police Department’s Special Operations Division (S.O.D) Task Force Unit investigated 173 complaints and 26 previous complaints, yielding 47 arrests for 26 Felonies, 43 Misdemeanor and 4 Municipal. Officers stopped 108 vehicles and wrote 14 Citations and made 3 Traffic arrests. They conducted 41 Wanted Checks made 45 Pedestrian Checks and wrote 60 reports. They made 2 Narcotics cases and confiscated 2 guns and Narcotics.
Since July of 2010, Officers investigated approximately 8,888 complaints, executed approximately 121 Search Warrants, made approximately 1,331 Felony cases, conducted approximately 3,551 vehicle checks, issued approximately 419 citations, made approximately 173 Narcotics cases, confiscated approximately 137 guns and numerous amounts of Illegal Substances.

Tanisha Bangham 28, for Simple Battery and Violation of a Protection Order.

Kerry Dupart 43, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Resisting Arrest, Probation Violation and a Fugitive Attachment.
Kenneth Poole 27, for a Criminal Court Capias for Aggravated Burglary.
Project Safe Neighborhood Knock and Talk
Project Safe Neighborhood Detective Kori Keaton conducted 6 Knock and Talk Convicted Felon Checks. One arrest was made.
Rodnesha Hawkins 23, for a Convicted Felon with a Firearm and 2 Counts of Possession of Stolen Firearms.
The 2011 Year-to-Date Totals are 22 Checks and 8 Arrests.
A 16-year-old male was remanded to custody for Violating his Court Ordered Curfew and Failure to AttendSchool.

Any person who, after the commission of a felony, shall harbor, conceal, or aid the offender, knowing or having reasonable ground to believe that he has committed the felony, and with the intent that he may avoid or escape from arrest, trial, conviction, or punishment shall be charged with R.S. 14:25; Relative to Accessories After the Fact.
An accessory after the fact may be tried and punished, notwithstanding the fact that the principal felon may not have been arrested, tried, convicted, or amenable to justice.
Whoever becomes an accessory after the fact shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars, or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not more than five years, or both; provided that in no case shall his punishment be greater than one-half of the maximum provided by law for a principal offender.
