NOPD Makes Arrest in New Orleans East Killing
(January 30, 2012)- Just days after a fatal shooting in New Orleans East, NOPD Violent Offenders Warrant Squad arrested 25-year-old Darryl Sterling and charged him with Second Degree Murder.
Detectives say 25-year-old Darryl Sterling shot and killed 29-year-old Ricky Randolph in the 6800 block of Tara Lane on Friday January 27,2012 shortly after 6:00pm.
Detectives believe Sterling shot Randolph after an earlier argument between both families.
Sterling, was questioned at NOPD Headquarters, confessed to the shooting and was subsequently arrested.
Sterling had prior arrests for Armed Robbery, Possession of Marijuana, Theft, Traffic Violations.
