New Orleans, LA –Members of the New Orleans Police Department's Homicide Division have arrested 41-year-old Alvin Tuckson, wanted in connection with the shooting death of 41-year-old James Jones. The offense occurred on August 19, 2008, in the 300 block of

North Roberston Street
.

According to investigators, First District officers responded to a call of a "male shot" and upon their arrival, located Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body.  Jones was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Detective Kevin Burns positively identified Alvin Tuckson as the person responsible for the murder and an arrest warrant was secured for second-degree murder.

After receiving a tip from Crimestoppers, the United States Marshals arrested Tuckson this morning in Philadelphia, PA.

Tuckson was one of four wanted subjects placed on the Crimestoppers Most Wanted Billboard in 2008.
