On Friday, July 2, 2010, at 1:30am, the victim, 32 y/o W/F, was
walking in the 700 block of Iberville when she was approached by an
unknown black male. The suspect showed the victim a pistol and
demanded the victim’s purse. The victim refused and attempted to walk
away. The suspect followed the victim and grabbed the purse from her
shoulder. The victim and her brother followed the suspect, who handed
the purse to another black male and then fled on foot in an unknown
direction. The second black male gave the purse back to the victim.
This incident was not reported until twelve hours later.



The suspect is described as a black male, 20-25 y/o, 5’5”, 145lbs,
dark complexion, dreadlocks pulled in a ponytail, wearing an oversized
white t-shirt and baggy blue jeans.
