We would like to thank the residents of Warwick East for participating in the Walk Against Crime last night! Despite starting earlier than normal and the holiday approaching, the turnout was commendable.
Significant arrests during the week of 11/14/10 – 11/20/10
Lakeside Oaks Subdivision
11/14/10, 19 year old Cedrick James, 22 year old Dave Briggs and his girlfriend were arrested for armed robbery of a Bell Taxi in the 7800 block of
Bass Street. Investigators suspect the trio of previous Bell Taxi robberies in the immediate area and are working to connect them. A search warrant was executed on their residence which resulted in two handguns being seized.
Villa Sites Subdivision
11/14/10, Proactive officers arrested 20 year old Mr. Tramell LaFrance in the 7900 block of Vanderkloot for possession of a concealed MP-25.
Majestic Oaks Subdivision
11/15/10, Narcotics detectives arrested 33 year old Mr. Lenton Vanburen while executing a search warrant in the 4800 block of Majestic Oaks. Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a .40 caliber handgun were seized.
Blum Antoine Subdivision/Eastview
11/18/20, Narcotics detectives arrested 19 year old Brian Miskell while executing a search warrant in the 4500 block of
Dodt Street. Marijuana and a .38 revolver were seized.
Villa Sites subdivision
11/20/10, a citizen observed 18 year old Eddie Johnson inside of his vehicle in the 7300 block of
Burke Road. The owner gave chase to the subject who entered a vehicle and fled to the high-rise. Johnson’s getaway vehicle broke down and police were able to apprehend him without incident.
Announcements
There will be no district level Comstat meeting this week.
Beginning Sunday, November 28, 2010 @ 6pm, Household of Faith Church will put on a light display that will run throughout the entire holiday season. If additional information is needed please contact their staff @ 347-1027.
