Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Rape
New Orleans–The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an aggravated rape. The offense occurred on November 12, 2010, at approximately 4:00 A.M., at a location to be determined.
According to investigators, the victim was drinking at an establishment in the 400 block of
Burgundy Street when the next thing she remembered was waking up inside a vehicle being driven by the suspect. The suspect advised the victim he was taking her to his apartment at which time the victim lost consciousness again. When the victim regained consciousness, she was inside of an apartment and had been sexually assaulted. The suspect was gone.
The suspect is described as an African-American male, light complexion with a “chubby” face and short hair.
Currently, investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) involved in this incident. The Sex Crimes Unit is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-5521.
