NOPD Special Operations Division Arrests Suspects in Double Shooting
New Orleans, LA -The New Orleans Police Department’s Special Operations Division has arrested 22 year-old Kyron Johnson and 23-year-old Harry Myers, in connection with the shooting of a 37-year-old female and a 41-year-old female. The offense occurred on October 30, 2010, shortly after 11:00 A.M., at a trailer park, at the intersection of
Chef Menteur Highway and Dodt Street.
According to investigators, Seventh District officers received a call of two females shot, and upon arrival, the officers located both victims inside of a trailer. The 37-year-old female was suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest and the 41-year-old female was suffering from a gunshot wound to her stomach and leg. Emergency medical technicians transported both victims to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
As a result of the on going investigation, Seventh District Detective Greg Powell positively identified Johnson and Myers as the persons responsible for the shooting.
Today, members of the Special Operations Division arrested Johnson and Myers in the 2600 block of
Jasmine Street. Both suspects were transported to Central Lock-up and booked accordingly for attempted murder and attempted first-degree feticide.
