NOPD Seeks Shooting Suspect
New Orleans, LA -The New Orleans Police Department’s Eighth District Investigative Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a 20-year-old male. The offense occurred shortly after 1:00 A.M., in the 100 block of
Bourbon Street.
According to investigators, officers were in the 100 block of
Bourbon Street breaking up a fight when shots were fired within the block. Officers then located a 20-year-old victim lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Emergency medical technicians transported the victim to a local hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition.
Currently, investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) involved in this incident, as well as a motive.
