NOPD Seeks Suspect Wanted in Shooting
New Orleans, LA -The New Orleans Police Department’s Seventh District Investigative Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating an unknown African-American male, wanted in connection with the shooting of a 37-year-old female and a 41-year-old female. The offense occurred shortly after 11:00 A.M., at a trailer park, at the intersection of
Chef Menteur Highway and Dodt Street.According to investigators, Seventh District officers received a call of two females shot, and upon arrival, the officers located both victims inside of a trailer. The 37-year-old female was suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest and the 41-year-old female was suffering from a gunshot wound to her stomach and leg. Emergency medical technicians transported both victims to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the victims were the intended targets. Investigators are looking for an African-American male driving an older model white Dodge pick-up truck bearing North Carolina plates.
Seventh District Detective Greg Powell is in charge of the investigation.
