Murder Investigation

New Orleans, LA - Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old local male, whose name is being withheld pending notification of family members.  The offense occurred at approximately 2:45 P.M., in the 1800 block of

According to investigators, First District officers responded to a call of a “male shot” and upon their arrival found the victim lying inside of his house with an apparent gunshot wound to the body. Emergency medical technicians were summoned to the scene where he was pronounced dead.                                                                                                                                                                                       

Currently, investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify of the person(s) involved in this incident, as well as a motive.  Homicide Detective Barret Morton is in charge of the investigation.  Citizens with information that can help solve this crime are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111, toll-free 1-877-903-STOP (7867). You could receive a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible person(s).
