On Tuesday morning, July 13th, 2010 at around 1:30 A.M., a 1999 black
Ford F250 Super Duty pickup truck (LA license plate V300257) was
stolen from the 5700 block of Cameron Boulevard. Around that same
time this morning, a 2005 tan Ford F250 pickup truck (LA license plate
X332266) was also taken from the 6500 block of Elysian Fields Avenue.
Also this morning, around 7:30 A.M, some one attempted to steal a 2003
Ford F350 pickup truck from around City Park Avenue and Allard
Street. Over the past few months, the Third District has seen a sharp
increase in automobile thefts of the Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty
pickup trucks. It is recommended that owners of these vehicles
install an anti-theft alarm system or ignition disabling switch, if
their vehicle is not so equipped, in an effort to deter some of these
thefts.

Remember to report any suspicious persons or activities you see in
your neighborhood by calling 821-2222. In an emergency, call 911
immediately.
