Aggravated Assault - 07-04-2010 - Suspect Arrested

On Sunday, July 4th, 2010 at around 11:04 P.M., the victim and her
sister, Shaquan Williams (B/F 11-09-82) became involved in an
altercation over a cell phone charger at their home in the 5400 block
of Arts Street, when it turned physical and Ms. Williams retrieved a
large knife from the kitchen and threatened the victim with it,
chasing her out of the house. The victim was able to safely get back
in the house, at which time she notified the police. Responding
Officers apprehended and arrested Ms. Williams, who was arrested and
charged in the above offense. The knife used in the incident was also
recovered.

Victim Shekinah Franklin stated that at around 12:00 AM on July 5,
2010 she and her sister Shaquan Williams became involved in a verbal
altercation over the whereabouts of Franklin’s cell phone charger.
The altercation turned physical at which point Williams got a large
knife from the kitchen and menaced Franklin with it. Franklin ran out
of the house with Williams behind her still holding the knife.
Franklin was able to get back inside the house and call the police.
Officer Blake Munster of unit 306C arrived on scene and placed
Williams under arrest and confiscated the kitchen knife.
