Suspects Wanted For Theft
New Orleans, LA - Members of The New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a theft, that occurred on August 30, 2010, at the intersection of Bancroft and Filmore Streets.
According to investigators, the victim was home when the two suspects arrived and identified themselves as “Sewage and Water Board” employees. The suspects advised that they were investigating possible water contamination and wanted to conduct a test. The victim allowed the suspects in and walked them to the sinks located inside her home. As one of the suspects kept the victim occupied, the second suspect removed valuables from the rooms in the home. The suspects stated that they were going to check the outside lines, but never returned. A neighbor observed a blue truck parked at the victim’s home during this incident.
Citizens with information that can help find this suspect are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111, toll-free 1-877-903-STOP (7867). Third District Detective Brooke Duncan is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-6030. Callers could receive a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible person and they do not have to give their name nor testify to receive the award.
