Suspect Wanted For Armed Robbery
New Orleans, LA – Members of the New Orleans Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred shortly before 8:30 P.M., inside an establishment in the 3000 block of Holiday Drive.
According to investigators, the suspect entered the establishment, produced a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. After the cashier complied, the suspect exited the store with an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect was described as an African American male, 20 to 29 years of age, 185 to 200 pounds and having a light complexion. The suspect was wearing a white bandana, white t-shirt, light blue Dickie shorts and black shoes.
Fourth District Detective Blake Terrell is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-6040.
A photo of the suspect was captured on the store’s video surveillance camera. Photos of the suspect were sent with this release in the form of attachments.
A copy of the video can be picked up by local media outlets from the Juvenile Division at 715 South Broad.
Crimestoppers is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person responsible. Citizens with information regarding this crime are asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-STOP (7867). Callers do not have to leave their name nor testify in court to receive the reward.
