November 11, 2010 New Orleans Police Department-Public Information Office Suspects Wanted For Theft New Orleans- The New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a theft. The incident occurred on November 6, 2010, at about 3:25 P.M., at a business located in the 7700 block of Maple Street. According to investigators, the two suspects entered the store and as one suspect distracted the salesperson, the second suspect removed some merchandise from the store and left without paying for it. A few minutes later, a salesperson found their behavior suspicious and reviewed the video surveillance tapes of the store and observed the theft. The first suspect is described as an African American female, approximately 5’6”, heavy build and with a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a purple jogging suit. The second suspect is described as an African American female, approximately 5’6”, heavy build and with a dark complexion. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts, a white t-shirt and brown boots. Citizens with information that can help find this subject are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111, toll-free 1-877-903-STOP (7867). Second District Detective Heather Gore is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-6020. Callers could receive a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible person and they do not have to give their name nor testify to receive the award.
