Suspects Wanted for Aggravated Rape - Public Information Office

Suspects Wanted for Aggravated Rape

 

 

New OrleansThe New Orleans Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying two suspects wanted in connection for an aggravated rape.  The offense occurred on November 9, 2010, in the 6800 block of

Franklin Avenue
, at approximately 6:00 P.M.

 

According to investigators, the victim was returning to her vehicle when she was approached by two Caucasian male subjects asking for directions.  The victim then entered the suspects’ vehicle when the driver produced a weapon and ordered the victim to lie down.  The victim complied and subsequently, the suspects relocated to a wooded area where she was sexually assaulted.       

 

One suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 35 years old, approximately 5’10”- 6’0” in height, sandy blonde hair, blue eyes, a medium build and armed with a knife.  He was last seen wearing a denim baseball cap with a red logo, a gray t-shirt with yellow writing and blue jeans.   

 

The second suspect was described as a Caucasian male, approximately 35 years old, approximately 6’0” in height, short brown hair, brown eyes and a medium build with an unshaven face.  He was last seen wearing a red and black colored flannel shirt.    

 

The vehicle is described as possibly a navy blue or black colored Montereo.

 

Currently, investigators are in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the persons involved in this incident.  The Sex Crimes Unit is in charge of the investigation and can be reached at 658-5521.

 

Citizens with information that can help solve this crime are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS at 822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP (7867). You could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the responsible person(s). You do not have to give your name nor testify to receive the reward.
