Composite sketch released concerning Saturday’s murder
Kenner-The Kenner Police Department is releasing a composite sketch of a suspect concerning the murder of Afonso Ramos-Silva, 58, of Kenner, who was shot in the 900 block of
Roosevelt Boulevard, Kenner, on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 8:17 p.m.
Kenner Police met with a witness who was able to assist in providing information which led to the creation of the attached composite sketch. The witness described the suspect to be a black male, 20’s to 30’s, 5’10” to 6’2” in height.
Ramos-Silva was walking home from the Brother’s Food Mart, located at
2210 Airline Drive, Kenner, when he was approached by the black male described and shot. Ramos-Silva later succumbed to his injuries at UniversityHospital.

Detective Joseph McRae is in charge of the investigation.
