Answering a desperate need for police translators, ProjectNOLA is creating a special “Language Line” for local law enforcement, and needs YOUR HELP should you be fluent in both English and a second language. Volunteers, who may remain anonymous, must be willing to receive occasional phone calls from our routing system, and be prepared to act as a telephone translator between police officers, victims, and witnesses. PLEASE JOIN THIS GROUP SHOULD YOU WISH TO HELP OR SUPPORT THIS EFFORT!
Moderated by NOPD Sgt. Chris Prochaska, Third District Community Affairs Coordinator, this community page was developed to help foster communication and an exchange of information between the New Orleans Police Department and the citizens it has pledged to protect. Residents of the NOPD's 3rd District are highly encouraged to join this group to automatically receive emailed alerts from Sgt. Prochaska, engage in moderated discussions, submit questions or concerns about how to keep your neighborhood safe from crime, and to learn more about incidents in our area. Please feel free to click on Sgt. Prochaska's profile, where you can view his contact information or send him private messages.
